The digital payment solution Digicash has been officially rebranded as Payconiq in Luxembourg.
Following the acquisition of Digicash in August 2017, the brand will now be known as Payconiq, replacing the name "Digicash by Payconiq". This rebranding means that customers will see the Payconiq logo when using their digital payment solution.
James King, Head of Payconiq Luxembourg, commented: “This new identity anchors Payconiq as a leader in the Luxembourg landscape and promises great prospects for development not only in the Grand Duchy but also on a European scale, which has made it possible for Luxembourg and cross-border users to make payments in the Benelux countries since December 2020”.
According to a recent TNS Ilres study, "Digicash by Payconiq" has become the most used digital payment solution in Luxembourg (62%), with an average of four monthly money transfers per user.
Payconiq is now compatible with the majority of retail banks in Luxembourg, with Raiffeisen having come on board most recently (summer 2021).
Payconiq International is a Luxembourg-based mobile payment fintech active in Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Belgium - the latter through Bancontact Payconiq Company.
