The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) has announced that the Luxembourg undertakings for collective investment (UCI) industry recorded a positive change amounting to €7.891 billion in the month of October 2019.

As of 31 October 2019, the aggregate net assets of global UCIs amounted to € 4.577.890 billion as opposed to €4.569.999 billion on 31 August 2019, representing an increase of 0.17% over one month. Over the last twelve months, the volume of net assets increased by 8.81%.

For its part, the Luxembourg UCI industry industry similarly posted a positive change in the month of October, amounting to €7.891 billion. This increase represents the balance of positive net issues up to €15.549 billion (+0.34%) and the unfavourable financial market developments of €7.658 billion (-0.17%).  

The number of UCIs taken into consideration was 3,785 (compared to 3,807 in September). 2,481 entities have adopted an umbrella structure representing 13,545 compartments. Adding 1,303 entities with a traditional structure, a total of 14,848 units are active in the financial centre.
