The 2018 edition of the Farad Finance Forum, held on 27 March at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, attracted over 400 speakers and participants.

Presented since 2017 in an expanded form, the Farad Finance Forum (FFF) is an independent and innovative initiative of the FARAD group, a financial platform dedicated to institutional clients.

Under the theme "Feeding the future", FFF18 distinguished itself by the diversity of the topics addressed, its European dimension and the quality of both its speakers and its participants. Over 400 registered to attend this training day offering an exchange between active professionals in the sectors of investment funds, capital markets, asset management, insurance, green finance or private equity.

To open the day, Luxembourg Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna, in his message to participants, reminded of the key role of Fintech and green finance in the development prospects of Luxembourg. Next, Claude Marx, Director General of the CSSF, addressed the regulatory challenges that concern the market and among which MiFID II, anti-money laundering standards, the RGPD or non-performing loans (NPL) feature prominently.

The 20 panels and masterclasses then followed one another throughout the day, punctuated by plenary sessions in which Thomas Kusstatscher, Senior Advisor of the EIB Vice-President, highlighted the climate and environmental priorities of the European Bank and where Nasir Zubairi, Managing Director of LhoFT spoke about the exponential trend in innovation.

Other highlights included the speech of Claude Wirion, President of the Insurance Commission, on the theme of the DLI and a late-night speech by Tom Theobald, Deputy Director General of Luxembourg For Finance.
