Luxembourg film production company Zeilt Productions has announced that its new animated series for children “Nächst Statioun” will be released on the small and big screen in the Grand Duchy from Wednesday 15 July 2020.

Zeilt Productions founder Laurent Witz was the mastermind behind this project, which was produced in Luxembourg by Sarah Sutter and Frédéric Wedeux.

The series consists of 26 five-minute-long episodes aimed at allowing the public to discover both well-known and lesser-known sites in Luxembourg through the eyes of funny and endearing little aliens. The characters will take spectators aboard their flying saucers for a trip full of humour and adventure across the Grand Duchy.

One episode of Nächst Statioun will be aired, n Luxembourgish, on RTL every Wednesday at 19:45, from 15 July. Kinepolis Kirchberg will also show a new episode in French every fortnight. The episode will be screened daily before films starting at 14:30 and 17:00 respectively, from 15 July.

The series is the first part of a larger project which will also include an interactive application using virtual reality (VR). Further details on the app will be announced towards the end of summer.

The project has been developed with the support of Film Fund Luxembourg, under the high patronage of the Ministry of Culture, as well as the support of the Ministry of Education, the General Directorate of Tourism, the City of Luxembourg, the CNA and the locations appearing in the series / application.
