The Regional Tourist Office (ORT) of the Mullerthal Region-Luxembourg's Little Switzerland has announced it will organise a Clean Up Day event on the occasion of the annual World Clean Up Day, which is taking place on Saturday 16 September 2023.
This is the fourth time the ORT is organising a Clean Up Day, inviting participants to hike and clean on the scenic hiking trails in the region.
World Clean up Day is a global initiative mobilising citizens to clean up the planet. In 2022, around fifteen million people in 190 countries worldwide collected a total of 60,000 tonnes of rubbish on this day.
The ORT noted that those interested in participating in the Clean Up Day Mullerthal on 16 September should get a hiking group together and register via email: info@mullerthal.lu or by tel.: 720-4571. The ORT will help participants select a suitable hiking trail for their group.
The rubbish collection points, located all over the region, can be found on the ORT website, www.mullerthal.lu. Participants must bring their own gloves and rubbish bags.
This year's Clean Up Day in Mullerthal once again features a competition where prizes can be won by posting a picture of oneself and/or one's group with a filled rubbish bag and tagging @visitmullerthal on Instagram or Facebook.
