Arthur Welter Logistics and Enovos inaugurated on Thursday the largest photovoltaic installation (set up by Enovos) on the roof of the former's new storage hall located at the Euro-Hub Sud in Dudelange.
In their efforts to contribute to achieving the national energy objectives targeting 25% renewable energies by 2025, representatives of Arthur Welter Logistics and Enovos inaugurated their joint photovoltaic installation. The inauguration took place in the presence of Claude Turmes, Luxembourg's Minister of Energy and Spatial Planning.
With a power of 2.68 MWp, the installation of 8,510 panels will produce 2.55 GWh and will be able to supply 567 homes with energy. To date, this is the largest roof-mounted installation installed by Enovos.
Marianne Welter, CEO of Arthur Welter Group, explained: "As in Leudelange, we wanted to go further and produce our own green energy and the roof of our new storage hall, by its size, was absolutely suitable".
For Erik von Scholz, CEO of Enovos Luxembourg, the message is clear: “Every company has its role to play in the energy transition. This is why we are pleased with the excellent collaboration with the company Arthur Welter Logistics and to be able to count it among our partners engaging with us for the energy transition"-
Energy Minister Claude Turmes added: "We must join forces, our potentials and our skills to position Luxembourg as a strong player in the energy transition. And just like the Arthur Welter Group has done, any new construction should be "PV ready" from the outset; it is a good example to follow".
