On Wednesday 21 November 2018, His Royal Highness the Grand Duke received at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg-ville successively in audience for the presentation of their credentials, the ambassadors of Portugal, Moldova, Finland and Nigeria.

The new ambassadors who presented their credentials were: 

- His Excellency António Manuel DA CAMARA PESTANA DE NORONHA GAMITO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Portuguese Republic;-
 
- His Excellency Lilian DARII, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova;
 
- Her Excellency Mrs. Riitta RESCH, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland;
 
- His Excellency Ahmed INUSA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
