Luxembourg's Ministry of Higher Education and Research has announced the introduction of four new Higher Technician Certificate (Brevet de technicien supérieur - BTS) training courses from the start of the 2021/22 school year.

Like all BTS courses, the newly accredited BTS - Cybersecurity offered by Lycée Guillaume Kroll (LGK) in Esch-sur-Alzette, BTS - Digital Content at Lycée Nic-Biever in Dudelange (LNBD) and BTS - Legal Assistant at the École de commerce et de gestion (ECG) are higher education courses with a professional focus, combining theoretical education and practical internships in companies. The studies, normally lasting two years, are organised into modules and validated in ECTS credits. They lead to a national higher education diploma.

The study programmes are developed in close collaboration between the respective secondary schools and the professional circles concerned.

The accreditation of these courses applies for the period from 15 September 2021 to 14 September 2026.

BTS - Cybersecurity

This new training course focuses on the areas of security concepts and security management, among others. Technical and practical training prepares students for the implementation and management of operational cybersecurity in a professional context according to the latest developments. BTS - Digital Content

This course introduces students to the techniques and technologies of digital content production. The programme offers a broad training which covers four main areas of study: media technologies; IT and internet; languages, communication and organisation; economics, management and marketing. The courses target photography, video, web design, social media, marketing, project management and digital tools, among others. More information is available at: bts.lnbd.lu.

BTS - Legal Assistant

This is an interactive training course combining law, communication and administrative management. In addition to these three training courses, the BTS - Commerce work-study programme at Lycée du Nord (LN), accredited since June 2020, will begin at the start of the next school year.
