The rating reflects the strength of the country's financial position thanks to solid economic fundamentals, despite a moderate increase in fiscal pressures. According to the rating agency, Luxembourg has the fiscal space to face possible moderate budget deficits over the coming years, Luxembourg’s.
Luxembourg’s Ministry of Finance reported that Morningstar DBRS expects a rebound in real GDP growth and services exports as well as a recovery in private consumption. The agency highlighted Luxembourg's highly developed economy and its position as a global financial centre, particularly due to its significant funds industry.
The solidity of institutions, the stable political environment, the prosperity of the economy and the strong external position of Luxembourg also contribute to the “AAA” rating, Morningstar DBRS concluded.
