On Tuesday 24 November 2015, internationally-renowned storyteller Ben Haggarty will be in Luxembourg to tell enchanting tales to an audience at the Abbaye de Neumünster.
Ben Haggerty became a professional storyteller in 1981, and has since been bringing his tales of magic, humour, shock and enchantment around the world. With a particular fondness for Eastern European Wonder tales and Bronze Age and early Iron Age epics, he has played a central role in the revival of storytelling in the UK, organising a variety of events and festivals to restore this lost art.
As a skilled improviser, Ben Haggarty is accustomed to performing alone, with other storytellers and with musicians, and has collaborated on projects with a range of organisations such as The Barbican, the South Bank Centre and Shakespeare's Globe. He has featured on BBC Radio and Television, and acts as the British Council's Literature Department Special Advisor in Storytelling.
At the Abbaye de Neumünster, Ben will be taking spectators on a journey through a wild imagined landscape with a folktale, a fairytale and a myth from around the world.
