On Wednesday 19 March 2025, the American fast food restaurant chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) announced the opening of two new restaurants in Luxembourg in 2025.

KFC established its first restaurant in Luxembourg in October 2024 and has announced it will now add to its existing location in Esch-Belval with the opening of two new restaurants. The first will open in Capellen in October 2025 and will be followed by an outlet in Luxembourg-Gare in November 2025.

Firce Capital, KFC’s franchise partner in Luxembourg, reported the openings marked a significant step forward in its expansion, which aims to establish ten restaurants in the Grand Duchy by 2028. It added that the success of the KFC restaurant in Belval Plaza helped to reinforce the brand's strategy and demonstrated Luxembourgers' enthusiasm for KFC’s range of products.

Firce Capital detailed that the restaurant in Capellen will open its doors in early October 2025 and will be located in the Capellen Business Park. With a floor space of 480m2, it will also feature a Drive-Thru service, the first of its kind for a KFC restaurant in Luxembourg, and will also feature a children's play area. Customers will be able to access the restaurant from the A6 motorway and Route d'Arlon. At the end of November 2025, KFC will then open its first restaurant in the capital city. It will be located at 43 Avenue de la Gare (Luxembourg-Gare) and will feature a floor space of 200m2.

KFC Franchise Manager in Luxembourg, Jessy Audinet, explained: "We are proud to expand KFC's presence in Luxembourg with these two new restaurants. Our mission is to fully integrate our establishments into their local environment while offering a unique culinary experience to our customers."

General Manager of KFC France and Luxembourg, Isabelle Herman, added that KFC is "committed to a continuous improvement process, our goal is to become the leader in ‘fast good’ in France and Luxembourg, by working on several avenues of improvement and strengthening our local roots."
