On Thursday 5 December 2024, Burger King opened its new restaurant in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
The new Burger King is located at 5 Rue Alphonse Weicker, L-2721 Luxembourg - inside the Auchan hypermarket. Announcing the news in a press release, Burger King described the Kirchberg district as the "nerve centre" of Luxembourg.
The new restaurant has a surface area of 560 m², with 184 seats available inside and 66 on the terrace. Burger King said it had been "designed to offer an optimal customer experience", featuring twelve digital order terminals and two Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. Table service is also available, and the restaurant includes "a royal decor".
The fast food restaurant chain added that it had locally hired a team of 45 employees.
"We are proud to bring the Burger King experience to Kirchberg and offer a new gourmet destination in this iconic neighbourhood. We look forward to seeing local residents and workers discover our restaurant," said site manager Alexandre Kaminski.
To mark opening day, Burger King offered customers of the Kirchberg restaurant the chance to spin its "Wheel of Fortune", with prizes such as hats, socks and lip balms up for grabs.
The new restaurant is open every day as follows: Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 to 22:00; Friday and Saturday from 10:30 to 23:00.
Among the menu items is the "new and improved" Whopper burger, which was unveiled last month.
