L'Atelier Windsor has expanded its gastronomic offer with the opening of a new, bigger restaurant in Luxembourg City, located at 2 Rue de Rollingergrund.

Due to its success in recent years in both the restaurant and catering sectors, L'Atelier Windsor found that the walls of its Place de L'étoile premises had become too small to fully develop both activities. Consequently, L'Atelier Windsor has relocated to a mansion in Luxembourg city centre.

As part of its "unplugged" culinary vision that combines the modern with the classic, the restaurant's menu and recipes are created according to the availability of seasonal products and "return of the market" of the day. The new restaurant, designed by architect Chris Fasbender, has been created with the historic site in mind: it boasts a high ceiling, large windows and a floor covered in vintage Parisian-style windows.

Owners Jan Schneidewind and Sébastien Périé wish to (re)discover the taste of authentic products and good things in life. The son of a hotel-restaurant family, Jan was immersed at a very young age in the pleasure of taste and sharing - values that drove him to pursue hotel training and move towards the world of catering. With his experience with large houses, he left his native Germany and opened his first restaurant in Luxembourg more than 15 years ago. Today, he is at the head of four restaurants: L'Atelier Windsor, B 13, Hesperpark and a catering service: Catering & Cantine Windsor.

Sébastien Périé, the manager of L'Atelier Windsor restaurant, is similarly the son of restaurateurs in France. Trained in the field, he won his first gold medal at a contest for the best apprentice in France, where he trained in the prestigious houses of Alexis Pelissou in Saint-Médard-Catus, Paul Bocuse in Lyon, the Caribbean and in Switzerland to name a few. He has shared a passion for "unplugged" cooking with Jan Schneidewind for several years.

L'Atelier Windsor in Rollingergrund is open from Monday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 14:00 for lunch and from 19:00 to 21:30 for dinner. Reservations via tel.: 281-388 or via e-mail: restaurant@atelierwindsor.lu.
