Luxembourg dance company VEDANZA will be putting on its new multimedia dance production, "Blast", at the opderschmelz cultural centre in Dudelange and the CAPE in Ettelbruck this month.

In a digital setting, Blast, choreographed by Emanuela Iacopini and co-produced by opderschmelz and CAPE, explores sound projections and the impact of explosions on the response mechanisms of the human body. In their creative process, the dancers are inspired by Butoh (a form of Japanese dance theatre), contact improvisation, Axis Syllabus (human movement lexicon), Kalaripayattu (Indian martial art), meditation and contemporary dance.

This extraordinary dance experience will be performed by four dancers (Emanuela Iacopini, Frey Faust, Yuko Kominami and Saju Hari) in a national premiere at the opderschmelz cultural centre in Dudelange on Tuesday 10 November 2020 at 20:00. The dance troupe will then present the piece to the public in the north of the country, at the CAPE in Ettelbruck, on Thursday 19 November 2020 at 20:00. A performance for schools is schduled for Wednesday 11 November 2020 at 10:00 at opderschmelz.
