The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced that is organising cycling classes for adults, in collaboration with the ProVelo cycling association, between 17 and 26 July 2024.

The classes will take place outdoors in a secure space in Luxembourg City and are based on a programme combining psychology, didactics and the science of sporting activities. The aim is to introduce adults to cycling who have never had the opportunity to learn to ride a bicycle or who want to improve their skills.

According to the VdL, this adults' cycling school fits into its policy of soft mobility and its bicycle concept, the action plan of which is defined around four pillars: infrastructure, a wide range of services around cycling, a public relations campaign and the creation of an observation entity. This measure is also aimed at helping to increase the safety of people using bicycles in urban areas.

The classes will be available in Luxembourgish, German, French and English. Participation costs €100 per person.

The first course will run from 17 to 26 July 2024 from 17:00 to 19:00; the second course will run from 17 to 26 July 2024 from 19:00 to 21:00.
