Andy Schleck Cycles (ASC) will host this year’s Andy Schleck Challenge, a 6 hours Mountain Bike race, on Saturday 6 May 2017 in Itzeg, from 10:00-16:00. in support of the Luxembourgish charity “Actions pour un Monde Uni”.
The event entails 6 hours of mountain biking in a team on a journey around Itzeg with lots of side-acts and entertainment for the entire family. As well as helping raise money for a good cause, riders/participants will have the opportunity to win a professional race bike.
As of side-acts and entertainment, the international world champions and RedBull athletes Viki Gomez (current BMX Flatland World Champion) and Kenny Belaey (MTB Trials World Champion) will participate in actionable live shows and workshops for children.
There will also be the Tombola raffle followed by a delicious pasta party and fun entertainment by Hoffi-Zambezi.
Those who do not wish to race are also welcome to join.
There will be no specific parking in the area, but the parking lot at “Parking Holleschbierg” and “Parking beim Kierfech” next to the cimetery/graveyard, will be available the entire day for the ASC event.
From 8:30 a shuttle will take participants from the parking lot between the “Parking Holleschbierg” and “Parking beim Kierfech” and then to the “Andy Schleck Cycles”.
The MTB race track/circuit is optimized for all ages, big and small, and is of approximately 8 km.
Registration costs €15 per participant and teams can be made up of 1-8 persons. Proceeds are for charity.
