Fraen a Mammen, based in the Luxembourgish town of Ell, has made a presentation of €3,000 to Stëmm vun der Strooss, the Luxembourg charity that supports the homeless and those members of society who are vulnerable; Alexandra Oxacelay, director of Stemm vun der Strooss, accepted the donation on behalf of the non-profit organisation, from Mrs. Even-Meis, who has been involved in this association for 20 years.

Mrs. Even-Meis stated that she is very pleased that the "Fraen a Mammen Ell" can contribute to the financing of a new oven for Stëmm’s social restaurant located at 7 rue de la Fonderie in Hollerich which is always full because on average 250 meals are served daily for lunch.

Acquiring this oven was addressing an urgent demand, given the increasing number of people in need that come through the doors of the social restaurant each day between 11:30 and 16:30.

The presentation of the cheque took place at the Fraen a Mammen General Assembly held on 11 July in the "Café beim Margot" in Ell.

Following the presentation of the cheque, Alexandra Oxacelay took the opportunity to present Stemm vun der Strooss’ various services and activities.
