On Wednesday 29 December 2021, François Bausch, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Mobility and Public Works, presented a new book detailing 111 innovative construction projects to commemorate the 111th anniversary of the Administration of Public Buildings (ABP); Jean Leyder, Honorary Director of the ABP and Luc Dhamen, Director of the ABP were also present on the occasion.

The ABP plans and carries out various programmes while ensuring quality, budget and timing in the context of growing complexity of integrating all regulatory and administrative requirements as well as techniques and equipment. The careful design and development of each project can serve as an example for other construction stakeholders.

The book illustrates 111 innovative projects, of which a third are of renovation projects within state heritage, a third are new constructions respecting the concept of sustainability and the remaining third of projects are those currently in planning stages or just completed.

The 111 projects are presented according to their main function. These include EU institutions and state administrations, representative places, school infrastructures grouped by region, cultural projects, projects for energy, care homes and structures for asylum-seekers, as well as workshops and depots for various administrations, infrastructures for the Grand Ducal police and the army, equipment for the fire and rescue services, centres for young people, and also buildings for the general public.

The 272-page book, in French, will be available at the reception of the Administration of Public Buildings Office while stocks last, starting 10 January 2022. One can request to reserve a copy by e-mail: secretariat@bp.etat.lu as well.
