The University of Luxembourg has organised a public lecture on the topic of ‘Gender and Food: From Polarisation in Dietary Consumption and Kitchen Tasks to Politically Sustainable Reinterpretations’ for 28 November 2016 at 18:00.
The Gender Expert Group of the University of Luxembourg is offering its next lecture as part of the series ‘Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Category Gender’ this coming Tuesday. The lecture will be given by Dr Rachel Reckinger, a research scientist in Sociology and Cultural Anthropology at the university, on the topic of ‘Gender and Food: From Polarisation in Dietary Consumption and Kitchen Tasks to Politically Sustainable Reinterpretations’.
This lecture series, which will take place until the end of December, involves a range of experts from different disciplines taking a gender-sensitive look at the links between language, literature, everyday culture and media.
The lectures take place on Belval Campus, in Auditorium 3.540 in the Maison du Savoir, 2 avenue de l’Université, 4365, Esch-sur-Alzette.
