European experts are set to gather at Novotel-Kirchberg this 29 and 30 October 2015 for a conference organised by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy on 'Individual Taxation and Employment'.
Held under the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the conference will aim to draw up an up-to-date report on individual taxation in Member States and measure the degree of individualisation; study the link between the degree of individualisation and its impact on female employment in quantitative and qualitative terms; and understand the characteristics of phases of transition to determine the factors creating a favourable tax environment for equality between men and women.
Minister of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Nicolas Schmit, will present opening and closing remarks at the conference, with additional offical speeches offered by Minister for Equal Opportunities, Lydia Mutsch, and Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna.
The conference will be concluded with a round table offering the opportunity for social partners and civil society to put the expert contributions into perspective and discuss the possible implementation of conclusions drawn.
