On Wednesday 28 October 2015, FedISA Luxembourg will be holding an event for any company or organisation with paper documents or digital data to be destroyed, which is hesitating before taking the plunge.

The 'Destruction of Data (Paper of Digital) - How and Why?' event will explain how to dispose of confidential data, or non-vital but cumbersome documents which are reducing process efficiency and affecting the search for relevant information. This will also provide the opportunity to compare erasing methods, and see firsthand the difference between them.

Speakers will include Johan Huurman, Data Protection Consultant, Streff Johann Alessandroni, Information Security & Risk Manager and Rachid Hamtat, Document Operations Manager, Labgroup. Pascal Steichen, of Security Made in Luxembourg (SMILE), will also be in attendance to provide a technical demonstration on recovering data from a wiped hard drive.

The event will be held partly in English, with questions to be asked in French or English, at PwC Crystal Park, 2 Gerhard Mercator, L-2182 Luxembourg. The event, from 09:00 to 11:00, is public, and open to all present or future members of FedISA Luxembourg.
