On Tuesday 17 November 2015, the first big Cloud Computing and Data Centre Technologies event will be taking place in Brussels, assembling around 40 specialised companies, organisations and associations to present their offers and the state of the art features of the sector.
The seminar will give the floor to speakers covering 50 different subjects, showing the rise of Cloud Computing since 2010. However, the field still holds many biases, making now an apt time to organise a conference on the subject.
Studies have shown that countries such as Singapore and Hong Kong are far more advanced with respect to the use of Cloud Computing and Data Centre for private and public sector companies as compared to their Western counterparts. Recent survey have also shown that approximately 50% of the businesses of the latter still hold biases on the business model of the 'cloud' and Data Centre.
"Many companies think today for example of siaster recovery as a logical application for use in data centres and the Cloud," explained Peter Buelens, Strategy Consultatn and Co-Organiser of the Forum. "But flexibility, scalability, ability to reduce IT investments - at high demand for capital, increasing efficency and reduced operating costs are equally valid argumants...and they are arguably even more motivating and compelling for business managers, as an argument to make the transition to Cloud Computing and the use of Data Centre".
The Forum will present all professional actors present on the Belgian and Luxembourg market with the opportunity to make a substantive contribution and subsequently demonstrate the potential value of Cloud Computing and Data Center use to customers. This will be supported by companies present whose professional IT applications highlight the value and benegits of Cloud models.
"Existing users will learn about the latest developments, the daily evolution and the demand in that market," continued Co-Organiser François Vajda. "That is why we want to gather a large number of players during this day of conferences in Brussels. The event will focus on both knowledge sharing and on latest technological developments, as well as the promotion and development of business opportunities."
