On Monday 12 October 2015, Prof. Dr. Rejko Krüger from the University of Luxembourg will offer an inaugural lecture on 'Dissecting Parkinson's Disease as a Complex Neurodegenerative Disorder'.

The lecture follows a rapid evolution in novel technologies in recent years, which allow for the dissection of mechanisms of common neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's. Dr. Krüger will provide examples of the first promising approaches to identifying relevant subgroups of patients affected by the disease, based on genetic stratification and stem-cell-based models. He will then explain how concepts for precision medicine and clinical decision support in the treatment of Parkinson's disease may ensure from these results.

The lecture will be held at 17:00 in Meeting Room 6 of Biotech II, on the Belval Campus of the University of Luxembourg. A reception will be held after the conference.
