Following the AGM last month, the committee of Irish Club of Luxembourg (ICL) has met to plan a series of events over the coming months, with July seeing the club attend the Art in the Grund event, followed by a Sunday Roast Lunch, and also a private guided tour of the Bernard-Massard winery in Grevenmacher.

• Sunday 7 July: Art in the Grund & Sunday Roast Lunch

On Sunday 7 July, the Irish Club of Luxembourg will enjoy another Sunday Roast Lunch, this time back at Oscar’s in the Grund (9 Bisserweg) from 12:30. The date has been chosen to coincide with the monthly “Art in the Grund” event happening along the nearby bridge over the River Alzette, which takes place between 10:00 – 18:00 that day – held on the first Sunday of the month from May to October. This open-air art gallery presents the opportunity for visitors to meet with international artists who will be displaying their sculptures, paintings, drawings and photographs. To register you place at the lunch, contact Fiona at fiona.mulhern@gmail.com (there is no charge except what you order for lunch; members and non-members are welcome).

• Saturday 20 July: guided tour of Bernard-Massard in Grevenmacher

Meet at 10:15 at the Bernard-Massard winery (Route du Vin entrance) in Grevenmacher for a 10:30 start. We will have a guided tour by the CEO, Antoine Clasen, followed by a wine tasting (90 minutes in total). Members free-of-charge, non-members €10. To attend, email Geoff at gwt@pt.lu. If you would like to stay for lunch (probably at the popular La Taverna), please mention this in your reservation email.
