On Wednesday 11 March 2026, the Luxembourg Red Cross announced the merger between Doheem Versuergt, its long-standing care and support service, and Help, a national network providing home care and support services.

The two organisations will now operate under a single legal entity, Help - Care and Support Service of the Luxembourg Red Cross.

According to the Red Cross, this development strengthens more than 25 years of expertise serving people receiving care at home or in supervised living facilities. It also represents a strong commitment to better anticipate and address the growing challenges facing the healthcare system, as well as those linked to an aging population.

In recent years, changes in the legal framework and the increasing complexity of financing mechanisms have led to a gradual consolidation of care and support services under the Doheem Versuergt entity, the Red Cross noted, adding that this closer collaboration led the organisation and members of the Help network to conclude that a unified model had become necessary to strengthen coordination and improve service quality.

The merger will not change services for clients, employees or external partners. Instead, it aims to simplify internal organisation, strengthen the consistency of processes and support the development of new services.

For more than 25 years, our teams have worked every day to provide personalised care that respects the autonomy of our clients. The merger between Doheem Versuergt and Help was a natural step that will allow us to be even more efficient, more transparent and closer to the needs of the people we support. This major milestone strengthens our ability to respond to the challenges of a healthcare system undergoing profound transformation, while consolidating our mission: to be an innovative and supportive healthcare partner serving people. I warmly thank all our employees for their commitment and professionalism,” said Catherine Gapenne, Director of Help.
