The Luxembourg Art and Fashion Foundation (LAFF) asbl recently held a fundraising event dedicated to supporting women in art and fashion.

The elegant evening unfolded at Comé à la Maison in Luxembourg-Hollerich on Thursday 1 February 2024. The event was an opportunity for LAFF to present its projects aimed at the development and promotion of women in art and fasion, as well as to raise money through a charity lottery.

As LAFF President Marianna Pogosova explained to Chronicle.lu, the non-profit organisation encompasses a "vibrant community" in Luxembourg and is "on a mission to establish a distinctive international platform for individuals looking to immerse themselves in the creative industry, particularly in fashion and art. The aim is to elevate their passion to new international and professional heights."

She added that LAFF "puts the spotlight on emerging talents, with a special focus on supporting and promoting women in fashion and art."

This recent event raised a total of €2,520 for LAFF's projects. Broken down:

- €1,120 came from a charity raffle with the support of its partners who provided prizes, namely: SOL' nails & store; TWAY; Come2Lux; Elisabetta Franchi; Factory4; LYS; Lazzur Beauty Institute; Maison Abigail Bianconi; Anna Barcia; Bogere; Provance Event; Ruggeri; Simple Shopping asbl; Aloha Homes.

Also during the event, LAFF presented the collections of two designers: Morena Couture by Osvaldina Moreira, who created her own label in 2014, and "G"  Collection by LAFF creators and powered by Yana Duschak. "Dedicated to the uniqueness and freedom of being oneself, this showcase is a tribute to the essence of female individuality and particularity, the beauty of diversity and reveling in the freedom to be different," noted Marianna Pogosova.
