ATOZ Foundation has donated €20,000 to Unity Foundation, a Luxembourgish non-profit organisation committed to the empowerment of communities through education.

This donation will go towards supporting the non-profit's education project in Uganda, which is dedicated to building capacity in youth and adults to promote the well-being of their communities through the Preparation for Social Action (PSA) programme.

ATOZ Foundation recently invited representatives of Unity Foundation to its premises for the cheque presentation. The sum of €20,000 will contribute significantly to this five-year project (2022-2026), which aims to train 690 participants in the PSA programme, supervised by 69 tutors, and to establish 50 agricultural plots and 3,000 backyard gardens in Uganda. Through this project, young people as well as adults will develop skills in languages, mathematics, science and processes of community life, as well as creating projects in areas such as sustainable agricultural production, environmental conservation, preschool education, health and income-generating activities.

Fernand Schaber, President of Unity Foundation, accepted the cheque and thanked ATOZ Foundation on behalf of the partner organisation in Uganda and its beneficiaries, as well as the entire team of Unity Foundation. Both sides will keep each other informed about the further development of the project.
