The Luxembourg Red Cross has announced that its teams will be present at Neumünster Abbey (neimënster) in Luxembourg-Grund as part of the "Journées de l’humanitaire" (humanitarian days) on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September 2022.

This event will be an opportunity for people of all ages to discover the daily life of the Luxembourg Red Cross as a humanitarian actor through various activities.

"We are delighted to be able to present different facets of our work to the general public, who will discover both the issues related to armed conflicts and our work in Luxembourg in support of migrants", explained Béatrice Winandy, who is in charge of the event for the Luxembourg Red Cross.

The programme includes the new escape room of the Luxembourg Red Cross, which allows visitors to discover the law in times of conflict in an entertaining way, exchanges with humanitarian and social workers, photo exhibitions, quizzes, live music and a conference called "Le droit humanitaire: un garant pour l’humanité" (humanitarian law: a guarantor for humanity).

"We are honored that Neumünster Abbey is making the space of the Agora [open space] available to the Red Cross during these two humanitarian days. This will make it possible to make accessible to as many people as possible the values defended by the Red Cross such as humanity, impartiality and independence", added Béatrice Winandy.
