The organisers of the Paris-Modena cycling tour announced the departure from Luxembourg on its way to Paris on Tuesday 14 June 2022, making a first ever stop in Luxembourg.

About 35 cyclists will leave near Milan on 10 June. The five day cycling route will take them through Italy for three days, braving the iconic Gavia Pass and Stelvio Pass before flying to Luxembourg for the departure through the Grand Duchy on the way to Paris.

The Paris-Modena cycling event is co-sponsored by Garage Intini of Luxembourg and their director, Francesco Loperfido, will himself take part: “We are active in supporting sport and especially cycling and are proud to support Paris-Modena which aids Association Rêves to raise awareness and funds for children in need.”

Paris-Modena is a charitable sporting event inviting those who love challenges, with the aim of seeing things through to the end. Champions with an international ranking, trained athletes and hobby cyclists will take part in this event together.

In addition to personal challenge, each covered kilometre will raise funds for the charity l'Association Rêves. The mission of l’Association Rêves is to grant the wishes of seriously ill children, aged three to eighteen. Since its creation in 1994, more than 6,200 wishes have been fulfilled. Numerous children have been able to engage in a myriad of stimulating projects that give them the strength to overcome the adversity of disease. By making their wishes come true, the association allows them to escape from everyday life and live unforgettable experiences that help them regain confidence in the future.
