ASTI, a non-profit organisation supporting migrant workers in Luxembourg, has announced the launch of its new project: Coach4Work.

Launched with the support of the European Social Fund (ESF) and Luxembourg's Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Coach4Work is aimed at informing and individually supporting people looking for a job with the support of volunteer coaches.

Following the findings of its Connections, LuxWow and Connections4work projects, ASTI came to the conclusion that an individualised approach must be taken to empower people in their job search in Luxembourg and give them more chances of finding a job or a new professional orientation.

This new project targets people encountering difficulties in their job search, who know little about the workings of the Luxembourg labour market and / or who find it difficult to understand its cultural requirements and codes. ASTI will offer them training to better understand the labor market and an employment coach who will help them take stock of their professional career, define their desires and apply for jobs more efficiently.

The volunteer coach will be trained as part of the project and will make his / her experience of professional networks available, as well as accompany the project participant free of charge for a maximum of six months. Each week, the volunteer coach will advise the participant, answer questions concerning their professional career and valued assets, while sharing his / her own feedback from practical experience.

Participants in the project must meet the following criteria: be looking for a job; be at least 18 years old; be authorised to work in Luxembourg; have at least level A2 in the French language.

Registration for the project will take place during the week of 31 January to 4 February 2022.
