On Thursday 18 November 2021, the Club Senior Stroossen donated around 370 knitted and crocheted items to Stëmm vun der Strooss, a Luxembourg non-profit organisation which supports the homeless and vulnerable members of society.

Since the weather is typically cold and wet in autumn, Stëmm vun der Strooss is always in need of warm clothes and blankets for its beneficiaries. In response, the Club Senior Stroossen appealed to its members, as it does every year, to mobilise for a good cause. Ten hardworking women have since been busy knitting and crocheting at home and collecting donations.

According to Carmen Reuland, a representative of the Club Senior Stroossen: "This occupation is proof that good handicraft is valuable, and it can give joy and support to others".

Last week, the "Kleederstuff" team at Stëmm vun der Strooss in Luxembourg-Hollerich received no fewer than 370 individual items from the Club Senior Stroossen. These included hats, scarves, blankets and more.
