On Sunday 2 May 2021, Luxembourg non-profit association natur&ëmwelt asbl held the 17th edition of its charity run "E Laf fir d'Natur" (run for nature) at the Maison de la Nature in Kockelscheuer.
A total of 210 participants joined this race, with each runner having paid a participation fee of €10; in total, the event raised €2,100 to be fully used for the non-profit's projects.
This year, things were a little different: participants started the race in small groups of ten, departing every ten minutes from 10:00 on Sunday. They each covered a distance of either 5 km or 10 km. Due to safety measures related to COVID-19, the 1 km Yuppi Mini-Naturlaf and the children's athletics workshops had to be cancelled.
The proceeds from the race are intended for the projects and campaigns of natur&ëmwelt asbl, which are aimed at safeguarding biodiversity in Luxembourg.
