Wildgen S.A. has just announced that the Wildgen 4 Children (W4C) toy drive organised by the Luxembourg law firm Wildgen until 7 December (in 2020) ended with another success: with hundreds of toys, games, books, school, sports and digital equipment now delivered to beneficiary associations, the participating Luxembourg organisations have shown solidarity and generosity, brightening the days of more than 2,300 children - now is the time to take stock.

Launched back in November 2014, the W4C toy drive is clearly anchored in values of humanity and mutual aid, which have not wavered despite the complexity of the past year. Ignoring the challenges inherent in the health crisis (teleworking, health restrictions and confinement), the 2020 edition has been a success with 68m3 of games and toys, 120 bags of sweets and around 20 computers collected. Once again this year, participating Luxembourg organisations were able to unite their employees and customers around this noble cause.

Wildgen reported that the support given to the dozen Luxembourg and Greater Region associations working for disadvantaged children and young people is greatly appreciated as the material needs are great.

Gilbert Frisch, director of the Kannerschlass Foundation was enthusiastic: “The children have been richly rewarded. The games and toys we have received are beautiful and in excellent condition. For some, they are new... A very, very big thank you for all that you have done for many years now to make happy children who are not always lucky in life."

However, financial needs should not be neglected, as they allow associations to finance long-term projects. This year, the Wildgen firm wished to offer a financial contribution to associations. Karine Vilret, Partner in charge of the Social Committee at Wildgen explains this decision to us, "At the end of 2020, our traditional end-of-year party unfortunately could not take place. In this context of crisis, it seemed important to us to dedicate our budget to supporting those who need it most. It is therefore with great pleasure that we presented in the name of Wildgen a check in the total amount of €8,300 to various associations working alongside children and adolescents going through difficult times."

The Wildgen 4 Children team has thanked each donor, partner structure, association and volunteer for their kindness and involvement in this project, and looks forward to seeing everyone at the end of 2021.
