The Association Culturelle et Humanitaire de Bairrada au Luxembourg (ACHBL) has provided Caritas Luxembourg with various Portuguese specialities to enhance the meals of people who find themselves in precariousness.
Every year, the ACHBL organises a Christmas meal at the Ulysse centre for people living in extreme poverty. This year, due to sanitary measures, it was not possible to organise such an event. However, to show those in need that they had not been forgotten, the association gave Marie-Josée Jacobs, President of Caritas Luxembourg, dozens of well-supplied backpacks, as well as several carts of cakes and other specialties which will enhance the meals of the people staying at the Ulysse centre over the next few days.
Caritas Luxembourg thanked the ACHBL, represented by its president, Rogério Oliveira, vice-president, Marinha de Sousa, and its director, Manuel Figueiredo, on this occasion for their commitment alongside the charity over the years in favour of those most in need.
