ASTI, the non-profit association for migrant workers in Luxembourg, has launched an appeal for volunteers to take part in online language activities.

In part due to COVID-19-related restrictions, as well as taking into account the advantages of practising a language via a smartphone or computer, ASTI is launching online language practice activities to encourage oral expression and help participants gain the confidence needed to express themselves in another language.

Online activities will be organised in German, English, Luxembourgish and French through virtual language coaching, allowing a volunteer to practise a language with one person, and a virtual "conversation table" where a volunteer will practise a language with two or three learners.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer, practising their language with others and meeting (virtually) people from different backgrounds and cultures is asked to contact ASTI via email: marc.faber@asti.lu or tel.: 438-3331.
