On the initiative of the F4E (Fidelity For Everyone) Committee of Fidelity International in Luxembourg, five employees agreed to repaint the terrace of Stëmm vun der Strosss' social restaurant in Esch-sur-Alzette (32 Grand Rue).

According to Stëmm vun der Strooss, a charity which supports the homeless and vulnerable members of Luxembourg society, it took only two days to transform a dilapidated and sad area into a warm and cosy terrace.

The social workers took pleasure in carrying out this action because a warm welcome for all is fundamental to the association's social restaurants and, especially in times of COVID-19, it is important to offer comfort to the most destitute. As Annick Blasiard, a graduate educator, pointed out: "By doing so, Fidelity has given a strong signal that companies also have a social responsibility".

This is not the first time that Fidelity employees have supported Stëmm vun der Strooss. In April this year, they donated office equipment and financed three computers and two printers, making the administrative staff's work easier. On top of that, the firm mobilised its employees to collect donations of clothing and hygiene products which were distributed at the Stëmm branch in Luxembourg-Hollerich. Further appeals for donations will be launched via employees in the coming weeks.
