HRH Prince Guillaume visiting Stemm vun der Strooss;

Stëmm vun der Strooss, the organisation that helps the homeless and vulnerable members of our society, has announced that Luxembourg's Hereditary Grand Duke, Crown Prince Guillaume, made a spontaneous visit to their premises at the end of June.

He visited their social restaurant in Luxembourg-Hollerich as well as the professional reintegration workshop "Caddy" located at 105 rue du Cimetière in Bonnevoie. This was a delightful surprise for the customers and for the neighbourhood who deeply applauded his arrival. People working in different entities such as Kleederstuff, redaction, delivery and restoration of 7 rue de la Fonderie, as well as those of the Caddy premises, gave him a warm welcome. Photos sessions, smiles and emotions were the keywords of this exceptional meeting.

Recently father to Prince Charles, HRH Prince Guillaume was presented with small knitted socks from the Vice President of the Stëmm vun der Strooss, André Theisen, as a generous basket of organic fruits and vegetables. Alexandra Oxacelay, managing director of the association, underlined the source of those foodstuffs which been gathered from the garden of the post-therapy centre in Schoenfels. "Enjoy those products, because if the parents are healthy, baby will also be healthy" she said.

Throughout this visit, HRH Prince Guillaume was not only concerned and challenged by the sad increase in poverty, but he was also interested in the various activities offered by the organisation; above all, he was very attentive towards the disadvantaged people present that day. During the trip on there way to the Caddy, Alexandra Oxacelay and André Theisen provided details of the emergency reception services grouped together in the Luxembourg-Gare and Bonnevoie districts and which come to the aid of the most disadvantaged people. On his arrival at Caddy, HRH Prince Guillaume was greeted with freshly squeezed fruit juice and grateful smiles.

For the educators present and those forgotten by society, this day will remain in their memory for a long time.
