Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has announced that it is resuming the recruitment of donors from tomorrow, Tuesday 21 July 2020, in the streets of Luxembourg City.
In addition to directly raising awareness among the population of the actions of the organisation, the aim is to obtain financial support from new donors. This campaign will be led by four field partners, easily identifiable thanks to an official MSF uniform and badge.
MSF recalled that these individuals are trained internally by the organisation in order to guarantee a respectful approach to the people they meet. They also never accept cash donations and only offer potential donors the opportunity to fill out a monthly support form that confirms their commitment.
All health precautions will be taken and MSF will be vigilant to preserve the health of its teams and passers-by. The recruitment of donors in the street is considered an essential element for the organisation's financial independence - 95% of donations come from private funds.
MSF partners will be present on the streets of Luxembourg City from 21 July to 1 August 2020.
