Stëmm vun der Strooss delighted with new professional food mixer;

The Stëmm vun der Strooss charits which helps the homeless and disadvantaged and vulnerable members of society, has announced that it has acquired a new professional food mixer thanks to the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte.

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte helped Stëmm vun der Strooss with the funding of a professional food mixer for the social restaurant in Luxembourg-Hollerich. It has enabled enabled people benefiting from a professional reintegration measure working in the Hollerich kitchen to work more efficiently.

Working conditions have improved considerably since the purchase of the mixer. Now cooks can quickly make soups, mashed potatoes and more. In addition, with this new tool, it is possible to serve desserts at regular intervals, which contributes to increasing the satisfaction of our customers,” underlined the director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, Alexandra Oxacelay.

This is not the first time that the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte has supported Stëmm vun der Strooss: in 2015 it financed the construction of a barn for their post-therapy centre in Schoenfels.
