Since April, Caritas Luxembourg has been distributing tablets to families and individuals living in its migrant homes and supervised accommodation, as well as to homeless people living in one of its structures.

To date, nearly 845 people have received 600 tablets and over 1,000 will have benefited from this initiative once it comes to an end.

Tablets allow beneficiaries to get information, communicate with the outside world, their families and Caritas teams, write cover letters and CVs, but also have fun and get away from it all online at a time when they are isolated in their accommodation, sometimes without a television or computer. For refugee families and students, the tablet mainly provides access to homework and online lessons. This action therefore helps to support them in their integration efforts.

The initiative was made possible thanks to the generosity of many donors including André Losch Fondation, Advent International, Martine & Bertram Pohl Foundation, MFS Investment Management, Groupe BNP Paribas Luxembourg and POST Luxembourg, as well as the organisers of the charity T-shirt sale for the benefit of Caritas Luxembourg, namely Drockmeeschter, Stitch Luxembourg and Antoine Lesch.
