Austrian Ambassador Donates 300 Easter Treats to Stëmm vun der Strooss

The Austrian Ambassador to Luxembourg, Melitta Schubert, recently donated 300 brownies and butter cakes to local NGO Stëmm vun der Strooss for Easter.

In light of the current situation of the most vulnerable people in Luxembourg, the Austrian ambassador decided to make the Easter offering to the Stëmm vun der Strooss canteen in Luxembourg-Hollerich.

Since Monday 16 March 2020, social workers at 7 Rue de la Fonderie in Luxembourg-Gare have completely changed their activities and, along with two cooks, they have been alternately preparing and distributing 300 hot meals free of charge. Before confinement, this activity was mainly carried out by people benefiting from a professional reintegration programme.

This gesture of solidarity from the ambassador was greatly appreciated by the NGO and its beneficiaries.
