The Belle Etoile shopping centre and the Lions Club Mameranus once again held their traditional "marche goumande" over the summer; this year's initiative raised over €9,000 for the Association Luxembourg Alzheimer (ALA).

At least 463 adults and more than 70 children took part in this 7.5 km gourmand walk, which was divided into five stops: aperitif, starter, barbecue, cheese and dessert.

In addition to the €10 paid by the Belle Etoile for each adult enrolled in the ALA, the Lions Club Mameranus decided to double that amount. The event thus raised a total of €9,260, for which a cheque was presented to the association. ALA will use the money raised to redesign one of the living units in their "Beim Goldknapp" retirement home in Erpeldange-sur-Sûre.
