Luxembourg's Football Club Union Sportive Hostert (FC US Hueschtert) a.s.b.l. recently teamed up with the local association "d'Liewen ass kee Kichelchen" and the German manufacturer of household and industrial equipment Miele to donate a tumble dryer to Luxembourgish NGO Stëmm vun der Strooss.

On the initiative of the football club, the three partners worked together to offer the non-profit organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss this material donation to benefit its professional reintegration workshop "Schweesdrëps". Created in 2005, the Schweesdrëps workshop (Esch-sur-Alzette) is mainly a therapeutic centre, where 30 individuals gain professional experience by washing and drying the uniforms of some 40 different sport clubs every week.

Since this work requires the right material, both Stëmm vun der Strooss and the donors agreed that a professional tumble dryer (worth €4000) would be most helpful for this increasingly requested service, not least because an old dryer recently broke. In addition, this dryer will allow the drying of shirts with flocking without damage, which was previously not possible.

The donation took place before the last home match of FC US Hueschtert, on 12 May 2019, in the presence of Jean Schiltz and Jeff Feidt from d'Liewen ass Kee Kichelchen and Jacques Wolter from the football club.

Marc Balthasar from the Schweessdreps workshop thanked the participants before commenting: "This equipment will be very helpful and gives us the opportunity to work faster".
