The bank Degroof Petercam Luxembourg has donated €3,000 to the association Stëmm vun der Strooss.

The bank has provided direct support to the association as part of its donation initiated against food waste, launched in January 2019. This support follows the first campaign of the Stëmm in 2018 via the crowdgiving platform, Gingo Community, launched by Degroof Petercam in 2015 and active in Luxembourg since 2018.

In this context, John Pauly (Chairman of Degroof Petercam Asset Services) and Adel Nabhan (Chief Marketing Officer of Degroof Petercam Luxembourg) had the opportunity to visit the premises of the Stëmm in Hollerich (7 rue de la Fonderie). Accompanied by its director, Alexandra Oxacelay, they were able to discover the various activities of the association: professional rehabilitation workshops, the editoral board, the social restaurant, the kitchen and the "Kleederstuff" for clothes.

The visit ended with a cheque deposit of €3,000 in the social restaurant. This donation will be used to partly finance the hiring of a part-time cook for one year, in order to cope with the increasing demand for meals in the social restaurants in Hollerich and Esch-sur-Alzette.
