The Optimists Cricket Club has announced that it will continue to support the Think Pink Lux Cancer Charity, with Saturday 25 August 2018 the date of the annual ‘Cricket in Pink’ charity event, with the match starting at 13:00 in Walferdange.
This "Cricket in Pink" event is always a fun day amongst club members and friends which has as it aim to raise money for Think Pint, an important local charity.
The format will replicate the successful process from before with mixed teams and special rules to ensure everybody is involved in the pink action. There are two forms of participation available – as a ‘Player in Pink’ or as a Spectator.
Just like last year, Players in Pink will be asked to contribute a match fee of €30 which covers participation, a very special Pink Polo Shirt and all food. The organisers are seeking up to 24 players to sign up and participate. Spectators will be asked to contribute €20 which covers all food.
