Villeroy & Boch has launched a special promotion to support once more projects of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde.
Giving loved ones gifts for Christmas or for any other special occasion during the holiday season can once more be turned into a worthy cause thanks to a joint campaign between Villeroy & Boch and SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde. In the pre-christmas season, starting 13 November, Villeroy & Boch will donate 10% of the proceeds of the sales of the Rovaniemi Mug from the NewWave Caffè collection generated in its shops in Luxembourg to SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde. The special promotion runs until Christmas and will benefit educational projects making a sustainable contribution to development cooperation in countries affected by poverty.
One of the aims of SOS Children’s Villages is to give children in vulnerable families access to a quality education. Education is a fundamental right of every child and by providing a sound education, young people get the chance to lead an independent life.
To celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the product line, Villeroy & Boch added a new highlight to the popular NewWave Caffè Cities of the World series last year: Rovaniemi, a town in the Finnish part of Lapland, the home of Father Christmas. Its red-gold décor on white premium porcelain, portraying a romantic Christmas landscape with the town’s most prominent landmark, the Jätkänkynttilä bridge, as well as the shiny gold reindeer make this mug the ideal companion for winter, especially in the Christmas season.
Last year, the special promotion raised €750 for young people in Cape Verde.
