Organised by Gaming Luxembourg (Gaming LX), the Tango High School Cup, a football video game, will launch its seventh season on Saturday 17 October 2026, with Tango continuing as the competition's title sponsor.

The competition will bring together secondary school students from across Luxembourg through gaming, esports and digital culture. According to the organisers, more than 10,000 players from over 40 secondary schools have participated since the competition's launch.

With Tango continuing as the competition's title sponsor, the seventh season aims to encourage young people to connect through gaming in a competitive but friendly environment.

As in previous editions, participants will be able to compete from home. Those wishing to take part in person can also attend The Lobby in Differdange, a venue dedicated to gaming.

The opening competition on Saturday will feature EA SPORTS FC 27. Participants will have the opportunity to represent their schools and compete against other players from across Luxembourg.

The tournament welcomes players of different skill levels, with an emphasis on fair play, social interaction and enjoyment alongside competitive performance.

Beyond the competitions, the Tango High School Cup also aims to promote gaming culture and connections between young people.

Previous editions have featured local content creators, streamers and artists who contributed to livestreams and entertainment activities, adding a cultural and creative element to the event.

The organisers hope the seventh season will continue to strengthen the gaming community among Luxembourg's secondary schools and introduce more young people to esports.
