WeStem+ (Women Excel in STEM), the successor of Girls in Tech Luxembourg, is organising the Data World 2024 networking event on Wednesday 23 October 2024 at the Amazon LUX18 office in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, from 17:30 to 22:00.
This launch event has been developed to bring together IT, human resources, data and analytics professionals, and women seeking new opportunities in the tech industry. It marks the launch of the non-profit group following its rebranding in July 2024 and promises to provide a unique platform for participants to connect, engage and learn from industry experts, fostering collaboration and growth in the evolving world of data and technology.
Building on one of the flagship programmes of WeStem+, the BI (Business Intelligence) Academy, which has helped empower non-technical women to transition into IT, the Data World 2024 event aims to bridge the gap between diverse backgrounds and the tech sector. This initiative offers participants a space to explore diverse career paths and gain insights from industry leaders.
Attendees can expect: a "dynamic" panel featuring leading experts from the Luxembourg market, offering insights into the current job landscape and emerging trends in IT and data fields; to learn about effective strategies to distinguish oneself in the IT recruitment process; an "empowering" discussion on women in tech, centred on how to launch careers and excel in the industry; a unique networking fair utilising the World Café method, designed to foster meaningful conversations.
Participants will gain direct access to HR professionals ready to provide advice on landing a job in IT, while HR and data professionals can exchange ideas with peers and broaden their understanding of current market dynamics; sponsors and partners can showcase their brands to a "diverse" and "engaged" audience, reinforcing their commitment to inclusivity within the tech and data industries.
