The British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) in Luxembourg has announced that it is holding a Cricket Event on Sunday 9 July 2023 at 13:00 at the grounds of the Optimists Cricket Club (Rue de l'Alzette, L-7210 Walferdange).
The event follows the success of the BCC's match against the Optimists Cricket Club last year, and is looking forward once again for a glorious Sunday afternoon of cricket - a relaxing day out for all the family, there will be a barbeque, tea and cakes, merriment, a Kids corner including a bouncy castle, a stand with all things pink to raise funds for "Think Pink", and the opportunity to have a go as a batter or bowler in the cricket nets to learn those simple rules. All topped off by a cricket match between the BCC and the Optimists Cricket Club...
Access to the event is FREE for all members. Theose attending are asked to confirm upon registration (https://www.bcc.lu/events/upcoming-events/?civiwp=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/event/info&reset=1&id=321) if they will bring your family or come with a guest.
Programme:
• From 13:00 - Welcome drink or a soft drink for the younger ones
• 13:00 - Under 14's demonstration match
• 14:30 - Main cricket match between the BCC and the OCC
• Cricket nets available all afternoon to learn and practice cricket
• 16.30 / 17:00 - Close with a prize for the winning team
