On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 April 2026, semi-final action took place across Luxembourg in the Enovos Basketball League, with AB Contern securing a place in the Women’s League final, while the Men’s League semi-final series got underway.

AB Contern secured the second ticket to the Women’s League final with a 70-64 away victory over current Luxembourg Cup holders Sparta Bertrange on Saturday. Despite playing on home court, Sparta fell behind early as Contern pulled away from the opening minutes, winning the first two quarters to build a 38-23 lead at halftime, with US forward Caileigh Walsh contributing ten points. The visitors extended their advantage by six points in the third quarter before Sparta mounted a late comeback attempt, led by a 23-point effort from Jordan King in the final period, but were unable to overturn the deficit. Contern, who converted twelve three-pointers and had five players score in double digits, were led by Stefanie Kulesza, who recorded a double-double of 21 points and ten rebounds.

The first game of the final series, against T71 Dudelange, is scheduled to take place on Sunday 3 May 2026.

In the men’s tournament, defending champions Etzella Ettelbruck and Sparta Bertrange both opened their Men’s Enovos League semi-final series with victories over the weekend. Etzella secured an 89-71 home win against Amicale Steinsel, building a 46-32 halftime lead after converting eight three-pointers in the opening half, with Philippe Gutenkauf leading the scoring with 25 points.

Meanwhile, Sparta claimed a 73-67 win over last season’s finalists T71 Dudelange in a closely contested encounter. The hosts raced into a 21-7 lead after the first quarter, but T71 responded to edge ahead 37-34 at the break before Karl Abou Khalil's team regained control in a tense final period. Yannick Verbeelen and Jarvis Williams each scored 26 points for Sparta, who also lost Victor Iwuakor to a foot injury late in the second quarter.

Sparta and Etzella now lead their respective best-of-three series 1-0, with the second games scheduled for Wednesday 29 April 2026 in Dudelange and Thursday 30 April 2026 in Steinsel.
